Tony Bellew, a former cruiserweight world champion, thinks George Foreman would beat Oleksandr Usyk if they fought in their prime.

Foreman's career stands out as one of boxing's most remarkable. He became the undisputed world heavyweight champion at just 24 years old in 1973, knocking out Joe Frazier in two rounds. He lost his titles to Muhammad Ali in 1974 in the famous 'Rumble in the Jungle' and retired in 1977.

But Foreman wasn't done. He made a comeback in 1987 and shocked the world in November 1994. At 46 years and 169 days old, he stopped Michael Moorer in the 10th round to regain the WBA and IBF world titles, becoming the oldest heavyweight champion ever. Foreman retired for good in 1997 with a record of 76 wins (68 by knockout) and 5 losses.

Usyk's path to the top has been impressive too. He unified all the cruiserweight belts in 2018, beating Mairis Briedis, Murat Gassiev, and Bellew himself. He then moved up to heavyweight, where he defeated Anthony Joshua twice to win and keep the WBA, IBF, and WBO titles.

Usyk reached the pinnacle in May 2024 when he outpointed Tyson Fury to become the undisputed heavyweight champion. He confirmed his status as the top heavyweight today by winning their rematch in December.

When asked to pick between the two champions, Bellew didn't hesitate. In a short video clip, he stated:

"I'm going to have to go Big George."

Usyk's next opponent will likely be announced in the coming months as he looks to continue his dominance of the heavyweight division.
