Live broadcast of the boxing evening from Chicago, in the main events of which two quarterfinal matches of the second season of the World Boxing Super Series (WBSS) in the first heavyweight division will take place. In the first of them, former world champion Krzysztof Glowacki (30-1, 19 KOs) will face Maxim Vlasov (42-2, 25 KOs) in the fight for the WBO interim champion title. In the second quarter-finals former world champion Mairis Briedis (24-1, 18 KOs) will meet Noel Gevor (23-1, 10 KOs).
Dmitry Shilokhai, coach of Mairis Briedis (23-1, 19 KOs), said that in the second season of the World Boxing Super Series (WBSS), his mission will be easier because they will not have to face Alexander Usyk (15-0, 11 KOs).

Former cruiserweight champion Mairis Briedis (24-1, 18 KOs) began collaboration with one of the organizers of the World Boxing Super Series Kalle Sauerland who will represent the boxer as promoter. It happened before the last fight of Briedis against Brandon Deslaurier (11-2-1, 1 KOs) and Briedis agreed with a German promoter without the knowledge of his manager Albert Siesta.
Former cruiserweight champion Mairis Briedis (23-1, 18 KOs) will have his next fight on July 21 in Moscow at the Olimpiyskiy Sport Complex in the undercard of the finale of the World Boxing Super Series between Alexander Usyk and Murat Gassiev. Briedis will face the Frenchman Brandon Deslaurier (11-1-1, 1 KOs). Briedis acts as a "substitute fight", that is, according to WBSS rules, he will be ready to come into the final fight if Usyk or Gassiev for any reasons, for example, because of injury, cannot take part in it.
