Next fight of Chris Eubank Jr is not determined yet.
Kell Brook (40-3, 28 KOs) made serious concessions in the weight limit for the fight with Amir Khanbut to fight with Chris Eubank Jr. (32-2, 23 KOs) would only agree if this time his opponent would go down closer to his fighting weight.
Years of rivalry and rivers of insults against each other have led Chris Eubank Jr. and Liam Williams to Saturday's fight in Cardiff, Wales, in which Eubank sent Williams to the floor four times, but could not or did not want to finish the fight ahead of schedule.
WBA #1, WBC #3, WBO #5 Middleweight Chris Eubank Jr. (32-2, 23 KOs) won by unanimous decision over WBA #6, WBC #6, WBO #7 Liam Williams (23-4-1, 18 KOs) in the main event of the evening at the Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff, Wales. Eubank sent Williams to the floor in the first, second, fourth and eleventh rounds, but Williams managed to make it to the final bell. Judging scores: 116-109, 116-108 and 117-109.
Chris Eubank Jr. (31-2, 23 KOs) and Liam Williams (23-3-1, 18 KOs) met the middleweight limit at the official weigh-in ceremony before the boxing night in Cardiff. The fight will be the final eliminator for the WBO world title. Eubank's weight was 72.6 kg, Williams - 72.1 kg.
Chris Eubank Jr. (31-2, 23 KOs) was supposed to meet Liam Williams (23-3-1, 18 KOs) in Cardiff on December 11, and the fight promised to be exciting, especially given the tensions between the two Britons. Unfortunately, this fight will not take place this year as Williams has reported injury and the fight between the two middleweights should be officially canceled soon.
