Postol and Prograis have to agree before January 12

World Boxing Council (WBC) has appointed a period of free negotiations between the teams of Regis Prograis and former world champion Viktor Postol, who will meet in the battle for the vacant interim super lightweight title. If the parties fail to reach an agreement before January 12 at the headquarters of the Council in Mexico City there will be a promotional bids, and each of the opponents will receive 50% of the proposed purse.

Skoglund brought out of coma

Swedish super middleweight Erik Skoglund was woken from his medically-induced coma by doctors and is now conscious. Skoglund continues to remain in the intensive care unit, but the threat to his life is no longer there. The former boxer breathes on his own and responds to instructions. The next few days he will have a series of tests that will determine what health consequences will be of his injury, which he received on one of the sparring in December.
