Postol and Prograis have to agree before January 12

World Boxing Council (WBC) has appointed a period of free negotiations between the teams of Regis Prograis and former world champion Viktor Postol, who will meet in the battle for the vacant interim super lightweight title. If the parties fail to reach an agreement before January 12 at the headquarters of the Council in Mexico City there will be a promotional bids, and each of the opponents will receive 50% of the proposed purse.

Jose Ramirez and Amir Imam will square for a full title, which Terence Crawford left vacant. They are due to meet on March 17 at the Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York. The winner of the battle Ramirez vs Imam will be obliged to meet the winner of the Prograis-Postol.
