Froch and Calzaghe are two of the best British fighters ever. Fans wanted to see them face off for years, but it never happened. Now, both have been retired for over 10 years.

Recently, Saudi boxing promoter Turki Alalshikh tried to set up a fight between the two. Froch said Calzaghe turned down the offer.

Reid, who lost to both fighters, thinks Froch made the right call. In an interview with IFL TV, he said:

"I'll be honest, I think Carl Froch would destroy him now, I know it sounds harsh, but I've been in with them both at different points of my career....He [Calzaghe] turned it down, I think that's a good move."

Reid lost to Calzaghe by split decision in 1999. He then lost to Froch by fifth-round retirement in 2007.

Froch, known as 'The Cobra', had big wins over Mikkel Kessler, Lucian Bute, and Jermain Taylor in his career. Calzaghe beat top names like Bernard Hopkins, Roy Jones Jr, and Chris Eubank.

Alalshikh still wants to make the fight happen. But it's unlikely these British boxing legends will ever step in the ring together.
