The interim WBO champion in the heavyweight division, Joseph Parker, commented on a potential fight with the holder of the full WBA, WBO, and WBC titles in his division, Oleksandr Usyk.

ā€œI once approached him and said, ā€˜You have two fights left, the next one will probably be Dubois, and in the last one, you have to fight me.’ And he was like, ā€˜No, no, no.’ I think Usyk wants fights for big money. I believe they will have a financial rematch with Dubois, and then he wants either a fight with Anthony Joshua or Tyson Fury again. He said: ā€˜Do your thing, don’t worry, after I retire, you can get your chance to fight for the title’ or something like that.

I would gladly test my skills in a fight with Usyk. I believe that at this moment he is the best heavyweight of our generation,ā€ said Parker, as reported by The Ring.

Let us remind you that on July 19 in London, UK, Usyk will have a rematch with Daniel Dubois.
