Keyshawn Davis (13-0, 9 KO) failed to make the lightweight limit at the official weigh-in before the Top Rank boxing evening in Norfolk. Thus, the American lost the WBO championship title.

His opponent Edwin De Los Santos (16-2, 14 KO) easily made the limit, but the fight will not take place. The parties attempted to agree on new fight conditions, but no agreement was reached. Davis exceeded the lightweight limit by nearly 2 kilograms.

The new fight of the evening in Norfolk will be a clash between Abdullah Mason and Jeremy Nakathila. The undefeated Kelvin Davis will also have his next fight in the professional ring that evening against Nahir Olbright.
