Tyson Fury Drops Bombshell About Deontay Wilder's Power: "It's Like Nothing Else"

Fury and Wilder faced each other three times in the ring, with a total of 11 knockdowns between them. Their first encounter ended in a controversial draw, with many believing Fury should have won despite being knocked down in the 12th round. Fury then dominated the rematch, securing a KO victory. In their third and final bout, Fury was knocked down twice before stopping Wilder.

Speaking to Foxify, Fury emphasized the constant threat Wilder posed throughout their encounters:

"I had three fights with that guy and all three times it could've been curtains for me at any single second. Deontay Wilder has dynamite in his fists and if he lands on you, whether it's round one or round 12, he's going to knock you down or knock you out … I think my sheer size and weight has a lot to do with him not being able to knock me out cold."

Since his battles with Fury, Wilder's career has taken a few turns. He scored a straightforward win against Robert Helenius but then lost on points to Joseph Parker. In June 2024, Wilder was stopped by Zhilei Zhang.

Fury has recently suggested that Wilder should hang up his gloves, but the Bronze Bomber isn't ready to call it quits just yet. Wilder is set to face Tyrrell Herndon in a must-win fight to regain his position in the top world rankings. The outcome of this bout will likely shape the next chapter of Wilder's boxing career.
