Eddie Hearn has confirmed that he plans to host another summer series of boxing evenings called Fight Camp. Last year, Britain's biggest promoter decided to host four boxing evenings in the garden of Matchroom Boxing's headquarters on the outskirts of London due to coronavirus restrictions. The events were held without spectators.
In the main event of the evening in Oakland, New Zealand, former world champion Joseph Parker (26-2, 20 KOs) defeated by unanimous decision previously undefeated Junior Fa (19-1, 10 KOs). The scores were 119-109, 115-113, 117-111. It should be noted that the fight was very competitive and what is happening in the ring, rather, reflects the score 115-113, but not 119-109.
On April 24 or May 1, a fight could take place between former European heavyweight champion Derek Chisora (32-10, 23 KOs) and former world champion Joseph Parker (27-2, 21 KOs). A preliminary agreement on this battle has already been reached, but first the New Zealander must defeat Junior Fa (19-0 19 KOs) on Saturday and not get seriously injured.
Sergey Kovalev vs. Bektemir Melikuziev (January 30): Former light heavyweight champion Sergey Kovalev (34-4-1) returns to the ring against Olympic silver medalist Bektemir Melikuziev (6-0). Both athletes, whose age difference is 13 years, will fight in the intermediate weight of 81 kilos.
A press conference was held in New Zealand today to announce a fight of the former WBO World Champion Joseph Parker (27-2, 21 KOs) and his undefeated compatriot Junior Fa (19-0, 10 KOs). The fight will take place on December 11 in Auckland.
