Regis Prograis (24-0, 20 KOs) has decided to refuse to participate in the second season of the World Boxing Super Series. In the final of the tournament the American super lightweight had to fight Josh Taylor (15-0, 12 KOs).
Saul Alvarez (52-1-2, 35 KOs) is out of the ring until November. The Mexican is still in the mood to fight WBO light heavyweight champion Sergey Kovalev (33-3-1, 28 KOs), who will hold his next fight on Aug. 24 in Chelyabinsk against Anthony Yarde.
After a few weeks the negotiations are still going to determine the venue of the rematch between Anthony Joshua (22-1, 21 KOs) and Andy Ruiz Jr. (33-1, 22 KOs). Until now, the favorites to host the fight for WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight belts were Cardiff and New York. However, there are also options to hold the duel in the Middle East.
On December 14 in New York there will be a rematch between Jarrett Hurd (23-1, 16 KOs) and Julian Williams (27-1-1, 16 KOs). WBA and IBF junior middleweight titles will be at stake in this duel.
On August 24 in Chelyabinsk there will be a fight between WBO light heavyweight champion Sergey Kovalev (33-3-1, 28 KOs) and Anthony Yarde (18-0, 17 KOs), the official challenger for World Boxing Organization belt. For Kovalev this will be the first title defense, that he won in February after winning a rematch against Eleider Álvarez. In the United States, this fight will be shown on ESPN. For the British it will be the first opportunity in his career to win a world championship belt.
According to Dan Rafael of ESPN, the undisputed cruiserweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (16-0, 12 KOs) returns to the ring on October 12 in Chicago at Vintrast Arena. Undefeated Ukrainian in his debut in the heavyweight division, most likely, will face Carlos Takam (36-5-1, 28 KOs).

A former heavyweight title contender Chris Arreola (38-6-1, 33 KOs) was unable to attend the press conference after the fight with Adam Kownacki (20-0, 15 KOs). The American was immediately taken to the hospital after the fight.
In the main event of the Premier Boxing Champions in Brooklyn Adam Kownacki (20-0, 15 KOs) scored a unanimous decision win over Chris Arreola (38-6-1, 33 KOs) and won the IBF Intercontinental belt in the heavyweight division.
