After the first round, in which the Pole showed himself well, Kabanyel slowly began to break down Knyba's defense. He tried to land powerful right-hand strikes and worked a lot to the body. In the third round, the German's advantage became apparent. Closer to the break, Kabanyel landed a right hand that noticeably shook Knyba. Kabanyel continued the attack and landed several more powerful right-hand shots. After one of these hits, the referee decided to stop the fight.

Thus, Kabanyel defended the title for the first time, which he won in February of last year, and will now wait for a scheduled fight with the current WBC champion Oleksandr Usyk. Knyba suffered his first professional defeat in the ring.
