Chavez Jr and Canelo faced each other for the first time in the press tour in Mexico City, there was a heavy atmosphere as both rival obviously don’t like each other, it was a big presentation by TV Azteca in front of a huge crowd that were divided, some supporting Canelo some supporting Chavez Jr. The fighters took the stage.

Klitschko glad Anthony Joshua steers clear of verbal barbs

Wladimir Klitschko believes Anthony Joshua is strengthening his chances of success by not engaging in the "mind games" attempted by Tyson Fury and David Haye. The 40-year-old Klitschko challenges IBF heavyweight champion Joshua at Wembley Stadium on April 29 -- when the winner will also take the WBA title -- and so far the two former Olympic gold-medallists have demonstrated a mutual respect.

Haye hopes Fury makes comeback

Two-weight world champion David Haye wants Tyson Fury to return soon after the ex-top division king took a hiatus from the sport to deal with some personal problems. Fury, 28, conquered the formidable Wladimir Klitschko in November 2015, but struggled to deal with the enormity of his victory and has since been enjoying spending his biggest career paycheck to date.

Veteran Wladimir Klitschko has been pretty realistic regarding his chances of dethroning solid heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua on the back of the Ukrainian's enforced 17-month absence from the ring. The soon-to-be 41 year-old will head to Wembley Stadium on April 29 without a win in two years after losing his position as the king of the top division against Tyson Fury in Dusseldorf at the back end of 2015.

Adrien defeats Adrian in split decision

Former four division world champion Adrien Broner (33-2, 24 KOs) scored a ten round split decision over WBA #4, WBC #7 super lightweight Adrian Granados (18-5-2, 11 KOs) on Saturday night at the Cintas Center, Cincinnati, Ohio. Throughout the fight Broner and Granados traded punches with Broner coming out slightly ahead. Broner won by scores of 97-93, 96-94 for Broner and 95-95 for Granados.

Peterson dethrones Avanesyan to win WBA ‘regular’ welterweight title (video)

In a bout for the WBA ‘regular’ welterweight championship, WBA #2 welterweight Lamont Peterson (35-3-1, 18 KOs) dethroned formerly reigning champion David Avanesyan (22-2-1, 11 KOs) over a twelve round unanimous decision on Saturday night at the Cintas Center, Cincinnati, Ohio. In an entertaining fight Peterson outworked Avanesyan over twelve rounds. There was lots of inside fighting. Scores were 115-113, 116-112, 116-112.

Browne KOs Williams in six (video)

WBC #11, WBO #11, IBF# 13 light heavyweight Marcus Browne (19-0, 14 KOs) scored a sixth round knockout over WBC #15 Thomas Williams Jr. (20-3, 14 KOs). Browne dropped Williams in round two, then hit him when he was down and was deducted a point. In round four Browne controlled the action, dropping Williams again with a right hook. In round six Browne knocked down Williams for the third time, however this time Williams stayed on the canvas. Time was 0:42.
