Former world champion Argenis Mendez (24-5-1, 12 KOs) scored a ten round split decision over WBA #3 lightweight Ivan Redkach (20-3-1, 16 KOs) on Tuesday night at the Sportsmans Lodge, Studio City, California. It was a tactical first round with Redkach having a slight edge over Mendez. In round three, Redkach was deducted a point for rabbit punching. Redkach appeared to knock down Mendez twice but referee Raul Caiz Jr. ruled it a slip both times. Mendez came on ahead in the later rounds as Redkach faded. Scores were 96-93, 95-94 for Mendez, 95-94 for Redkach.

Wladimir Klitschko vowed 'I'll be back' as he returned to Germany following his 11th-round stoppage by Anthony Joshua. Klitschko was defeated in a thrilling heavyweight showdown before 90,000 fans at Wembley Stadium on Saturday night that saw both fighters climb off the canvas. The Ukrainian claims he has a rematch clause in his contract and on Tuesday he hinted that he will be looking to renew his rivalry with Joshua in London.

According to a police report, cops were called to Holyfield's dorm after an RA smelled weed coming from his room. Cops say Holyfield answered the door and had bloodshot eyes. He said he hadn't been smoking and didn't know what they were talking about, despite a strong smell of marijuana.
