Famous American commentator Teddy Atlas will prepare Ukrainian Alexander Gvozdyk (15-0, 12 KOs) for the fight against Adonis Stevenson (29-1-1, 24 KOs) for the WBC light heavyweight belt. The Atlas will replace Marco Contreras, who previously worked with Gvozdyk. The Ukrainian will be training in Oxnard, California, and his camp will begin in mid-October.

Atlas did not train since 2016, when he helped Timothy Bradley to prepare for the fight with Manny Pacquiao. He also once worked with Mike Tyson, Michael Moorer, Tracy Patterson, Barry McGuigan, Shannon Briggs, Michael Grant and others.

"They waited for my answer for several weeks, I wanted to meet with Alexander and his family, which I did. We met and spent two days together. We watched movies, had breakfast and had lunch on the first day, and the second went to work in gym together.

“Gvozdyk behaves like a fighter. He has good instincts. Regarding technical aspects, he needs to rise to the next level, but he has the right ideas," Atlas said.

Fight Gvozdyk - Stevenson will be on December 1 in Quebec, Canada. WBC light heavyweight belt will be at the stake of the fight.
