Andre Ward, the retired boxing Hall of Famer, surprised fans by saying he'd come back to fight Anthony Joshua. The former light heavyweight champ, who hung up his gloves in 2017, said he'd take on Joshua at Wembley Stadium.

"Me and Anthony Joshua. That's a fight I would accept at Wembley Stadium," Ward said recently.

Ward left the sport with a perfect 32-0 record and 16 knockouts. He unified the light heavyweight division and beat Sergey Kovalev twice in 2016 and 2017. Many fighters look up to him as "your favorite boxer's favorite boxer."

At 41, Ward's been dealing with knee problems since he retired. He thought about fighting Tony Bellew before Joshua, but decided to protect his health instead.

Joshua, 35, has had ups and downs in his career. He's been unified champion twice and beat big names like Wladimir Klitschko, Joseph Parker, and Andy Ruiz Jr. But he recently lost badly to Daniel Dubois by knockout. Now he's figuring out what to do next in the tough heavyweight division.

Jaron "Boots" Ennis, who grew up admiring Ward, doesn't like the idea of this comeback. He told YSM Sports Media:

"I don't like it. I think he should stay retired. Anthony Joshua is a huge guy."

Ennis worries that Joshua's size could be too much for Ward. He's not sure if Ward could take Joshua's punches and thinks the risk isn't worth it.

Even though Ward said he'd take the fight, it's still just talk for now. But it's got boxing fans wondering what might happen if these two stepped in the ring together.
