Pacquiao, now 46, hasn't fought since the summer of 2021. He lost a decision to Yordenis Ugas and decided to hang up his gloves. But now, after four years away, he's coming back for another shot at glory.
Some people think this comeback might be a bit much for Pacquiao at his age. But Amir Khan, who's fought in two weight classes and won an Olympic silver medal, sees it differently. Khan has sparred with both fighters and shared his thoughts with iFL TV.
"It's a perfect match-up for Manny Pacquiao. Barrios is a very good fighter and boxer, but he doesn't bring much danger for Pacquiao. I think Pacquiao can win this fight even with half a hard camp."
Khan knows Barrios well. The young champion trained with Virgil Hunter and has solid basics. But Khan doesn't think he'll pose a real threat to Pacquiao.
"Barrios is good at the basic stuff, but he's not dangerous enough for Pacquiao. It's not going to be a hard fight for Manny."
If Pacquiao wins, he'll break his own record. He'll become the oldest welterweight champion in history, beating the mark he set in 2019 when he beat Keith Thurman for the WBA welterweight title.
