The team of Justis Huni (12-1, 7 KO) protested after the early defeat in the 10th round in the fight for the WBA heavyweight title against Fabio Wardley (19-0-1, 18 KO).
Representatives of the Australian claim that the referee stopped the fight too quickly after the knockdown. Huni was confidently ahead on points after nine rounds on the judges' cards: 89-82, 89-82, 88-83, and seemed to be on the way to a convincing victory on his opponent's turf.
Justis Huni's co-promoter is Eddie Hearn. Fabio Wardley is under contract with Frank Warren.
