Mayweather won world titles in five different weight classes during his career. He beat big names like Oscar De La Hoya, Manny Pacquiao, and Canelo Alvarez. His last fight was against MMA star Conor McGregor in August 2017, which he also won.

"No disrespect to Ali, but I feel like I am the best. Ali lost in his career to Leon Spinks. He lost some other fights and is still known as the greatest. That is what it is."

Mayweather told First Post he thinks he should be considered the greatest because he never lost a fight. He also pointed out that he's "still sharp at 38" years old.

But many fans and experts still see Ali as the top boxer of all time. Ali's career started in the early 1960s when he burst onto the heavyweight scene. He became world heavyweight champion in 1964 by beating Sonny Liston. Ali won their rematch the next year too.

Ali's career hit a bump when he refused to be drafted for the Vietnam War. He couldn't box for a while because of this. But he came back strong. In 1974, he beat George Foreman to win back the heavyweight title in the famous "Rumble in the Jungle" fight.

Even though Ali lost some fights in his career, most people still call him "The Greatest." His impact on boxing and pop culture was huge. He was also an Olympic gold medalist, winning at the 1960 Summer Games in Rome.

Mayweather's claim has started a debate among boxing fans. Some agree with him because of his perfect record. Others say Ali faced tougher opponents and had a bigger impact on the sport. The argument about who's really the greatest boxer ever will likely go on for a long time.
