Former World Champion Calls Out Chris Eubank Jr: "I'm Ready Right Now"

The fight was originally set for October 2022 but got canceled when Benn failed a drug test. When it finally happened, fans got to see an entertaining contest that went the full distance.

Eubank Jr. now has 35 wins in 38 fights. He's lost to world champion George Groves and former middleweight belt holder Liam Smith, though he beat Smith in a rematch six months later. His other loss came 11 years ago in a close fight against Billy Joe Saunders.

Speaking of Saunders, he's now calling out Eubank Jr. The former two-weight world champion told BoxNation:

"I'm going to be honest, I'd probably use Eubank as a warm-up before becoming a three-weight world champion. Looking at him last night, I probably don't even need a warm-up."

Saunders tried to get into Eubank's dressing room as part of team Benn on fight night, showing the bad blood between them is still there.

At 35, Saunders hasn't fought since May 2021 when Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez stopped him and broke his eye socket. A return to super-middleweight seems unlikely for now.

As for Eubank Jr., he's already signed up for a rematch with Benn. Fans will have to wait and see if the Saunders fight ever happens.

The Eubank Jr. vs Benn fight turned out to be a defining moment in Eubank's career, showing he can still compete at the highest level.
