Canelo Alvarez's Surprise Interaction With Televisa Commentator Leaves Lasting Impact: "I Didn't Expect That"

Carlos Aguilar, a Televisa Deportes boxing analyst and commentator, recently shared his experience sparring with Canelo. In an interview with Zar Aguilar and 'Escorpion Dorado', Aguilar described the power behind Canelo's punches.

"It's the classic 'sleeper', the blow comes in and you feel how it cramps you. The day Canelo did it, I felt the pain not in my shoulder: in my crown!"

Aguilar explained that Canelo used an uppercut technique, striking with his index finger knuckle on the shoulders. This move aims to weaken the opponent's arm, forcing them to lower their guard. While professional fighters usually feel the effects midway through a fight, Aguilar experienced immediate pain.

Despite having sparred with big names like Antonio Margarito, Manny Pacquiao, and Marco Antonio Barrera, Aguilar found his session with Canelo particularly intense. Canelo even offered advice on managing post-sparring headaches.

The upcoming fight marks Canelo's first appearance in Saudi Arabia. His Cuban opponent, William Scull, brings a unique fighting style to the ring. Scull's approach focuses on tiring out his opponents rather than relying on powerful punches or flashy combinations. He keeps his distance and wears down his rivals through endurance.

For Canelo, this fight could cement his status in world boxing. At 33, some speculate it might be a prelude to retirement. His age could prove a disadvantage against the less experienced but potentially fresher Scull.

As the boxing world turns its eyes to Saudi Arabia, fans will soon see if Canelo's power and experience can overcome Scull's endurance-based strategy in this high-stakes unification bout.
