Holyfield knows Tyson well. He beat 'Iron Mike' twice - first by 11th round stoppage and then in the infamous 'Bite Fight' where Tyson got disqualified for biting Holyfield's ear in the third round.
Tyson ruled the heavyweight division in the late 1980s and early 1990s. He became the youngest world heavyweight champion ever and held all the belts. His list of victims includes big names like Larry Holmes, Michael Spinks, and Trevor Berbick.
Usyk, on the other hand, is a more recent champion. He became the undisputed cruiserweight champion in 2018 and then did the same at heavyweight in May 2022. He's getting ready to fight Daniel Dubois this summer, hoping to become a two-time undisputed heavyweight champ.
Boxing fans love to debate these fantasy fights. When asked about a prime Tyson versus Usyk, Holyfield couldn't pick a winner.
In an interview with Mail Sport Boxing, Holyfield said:
"I don't know. I don't exactly know that one."
Holyfield thinks Tyson at his best could have beaten some of boxing's greatest heavyweights. He listed George Foreman, Joe Frazier, Tyson Fury, Wladimir Klitschko, Vitali Klitschko, Anthony Joshua, and Deontay Wilder as potential victims of a prime Tyson.
But when it comes to Usyk, Holyfield just couldn't make up his mind. It looks like this fantasy fight will remain a topic for debate among boxing fans for a long time to come.
