Legendary boxer George Foreman passed away at the age of 76. This was announced by his family on his official Instagram account.

Foreman was the 1968 Olympic champion before winning his first heavyweight title with an early victory over Joe Frazier in 1973.

A year later, he lost the belt to Muhammad Ali in a fight that was dubbed "The Battle of the Jungle." His second championship came more than two decades later at the age of 45 when he scored a stunning knockout victory over Michael Moorer in 1994, making him the oldest heavyweight champion in history.

Over the course of his career, Foreman has fought 81 fights with an overall record of 76-5 (68 KOs). He was inducted into both the World Boxing Hall of Fame and the International Boxing Hall of Fame.
