Floyd Mayweather Jr. has picked David Tua as the boxer with the best chin in history. The 48-year-old undefeated champion from Grand Rapids, Michigan, shared his opinion during a recent segment with Mail Sport Boxing.

Mayweather's career speaks for itself. He won world titles in five weight divisions and retired with a perfect 50-0 professional record. His list of victories includes some of boxing's biggest names like Manny Pacquiao, Oscar De La Hoya, and Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez. Mayweather hung up his gloves for good at the end of 2017 after beating MMA star Conor McGregor.

While building his 'ultimate fighter' for Mail Sport Boxing, Mayweather named David Tua as the fighter with the greatest chin he's ever seen.

Tua, a Samoan-New Zealander heavyweight, fought from 1992 to 2013 and won 52 of his 59 contests. He was known for his thunderous punching power, particularly his left hook, and was a highly-ranked heavyweight for most of his career.

Despite his power and durability, Tua never won a world title. He unsuccessfully challenged Lennox Lewis for the heavyweight crown 25 years ago. Tua's notable wins include victories over former world heavyweight champions Michael Moorer and John Ruiz.

Tua's final fight came in 2013 when he lost to Alexander Ustinov by unanimous decision after a two-year break from the ring. While he didn't reach the pinnacle of the sport, Tua's chin has now received the ultimate compliment from one of boxing's all-time greats.
