Larry Holmes Drops Bombshell on Heavyweight Legend: "He Couldn't Fight"

Holmes, known as "The Easton Assassin," made a name for himself in the late 1970s. He grabbed the world heavyweight championship from Ken Norton in a close split decision. After that, he went on a tear, defending his title a whopping 20 times. During this run, he beat some big names like Muhammad Ali, Earnie Shavers, and Trevor Berbick.

Holmes' reign at the top was impressive, with 20 successful defenses of his crown. But all good things come to an end. In September 1985, Michael Spinks handed Holmes his first loss, outpointing him over 12 rounds. They fought again seven months later, and Spinks won again, keeping the IBF heavyweight title.

Now, Holmes isn't holding back about George Foreman. In a YouTube clip, Holmes says Foreman ducked him and couldn't really fight. He didn't stop there:

"Everybody know that George Foreman can't fight, everybody know that Tommy Morrison kicked his butt, everybody know that Shannon Briggs kicked his butt, everybody knew that he wouldn't fight me .. George Foreman is the biggest phoney ever."

It's worth noting that Foreman has his own impressive story. He became the oldest world heavyweight champ when he beat Michael Moorer in a huge upset 31 years ago. Before that, Foreman took a 10-year break from boxing from 1977 to 1987 to be a preacher. He came back to the ring because he needed money.

Holmes' words are sure to stir up some debate among boxing fans. What do you think? Does Holmes have a point, or is he being too harsh on Foreman?
