Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez has responded to a new offer to fight Terence Crawford. The Mexican superstar's simple four-word answer? "I'm open to talk."

Canelo's looking for his next opponent, while Crawford wants to add to his legacy by moving up two weight divisions to face him. Crawford's adamant he can beat Canelo, even though he'd need to gain 14 pounds for the fight.

Many in boxing warn Crawford about the weight disadvantage. Canelo hasn't been too excited about the match-up before. He thinks he won't get much credit for beating a smaller man. Canelo's been pretty clear about this in the past.

But there's a new development. Turki Alalshikh from Riyadh Season, who's made several big fights happen quickly, is trying to set up the bout. He said on the Ariel and Ade show:

"We are ready to talk to Canelo Alvarez, but it must be directly. We do not want intermediaries who complicate negotiations."

That's when Canelo responded with his openness to talk. It fits with what he's said before - he'll do it if it makes business sense.

Canelo will start talks for his next fight in January. Fans will likely hear news not long after that. As for Crawford, he'll probably keep fighting even if this big match-up doesn't happen.

Both Canelo and Crawford are four-weight world champions, making this potential fight a big deal for boxing fans.
