Amir Khan thinks Oleksandr Usyk will beat Daniel Dubois in their rematch this weekend. The former world champion doesn't give Dubois much of a chance against the undefeated Ukrainian.
Usyk has never lost as a pro. He's been the undisputed champion at cruiserweight and now holds all the belts at heavyweight. Dubois has bounced back strong since their first fight, knocking out Jarrell Miller, Filip Hrgovic, and Anthony Joshua in September.
The two first met in August 2023. Dubois knocked Usyk down with what he thought was a body shot, but the referee called it low. Usyk recovered and stopped Dubois in the ninth round.
Khan shared his thoughts on the rematch with Genting Casino:
"Power doesn't matter to him. Size doesn't matter to that guy. He's just a good overall boxer and knows how to use his hands. He will hit you with shots that you're not going to see. And he then follows them shots up, so yeah, even if it goes to 12 rounds, I got Usyk winning that fight because Dubois's going to try to pot shot him all the time. So I don't give Dubois any chance, I'm sorry."
If Usyk wins, he'll have some choices to make. He could retire at the top of the sport. Or he might face his mandatory challengers - Derek Chisora for the IBF and Joseph Parker for the WBO. There's also talk of a third fight with Tyson Fury next year.
The boxing world will watch closely to see if Usyk can keep his perfect record or if Dubois can pull off the upset in their second meeting.
