Jake Paul will step into the ring with Mike Tyson in less than a month. The match has stirred up controversy in the boxing world due to the 30-year age gap between the fighters.
'Iron Mike' Tyson retired in 2005 after back-to-back losses. He's been extremely inactive since then. On the other hand, Paul, a content creator turned boxer, has fought 11 times in the last four years.
Paul's boxing journey started with a first-round stoppage of Anesongib. Eddie Hearn promoted that fight. Since then, Paul has faced notable opponents like Tyron Woodley, Nate Diaz, and Anderson Silva. He's lost only once, with Tommy Fury giving him his toughest challenge.
Anesongib, Paul's first opponent, sees the upcoming fight as entertainment rather than sport. He told Pro Boxing Fans:
"Who do I think will win? I don't know, man. It's like an entertainment fight. I'm not really looking at it as like competition. I'm not looking at it as competition. I'm gonna sit and look at it like 'who won?' but I'm not watching it as like it's competitive."
Many in the sport are skeptical about the fight's legitimacy. Former world champion Shawn Porter even thinks the main event won't happen.

The fight will go on each boxer's professional record. It's set for eight two-minute rounds with 14-ounce gloves. The venue is AT&T; Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Netflix will broadcast the event, and the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation will oversee it.
