Middleweight unification bout between Claressa Shields (12-0, 2 KOs) and Savannah Marshall (12-0, 10 KOs) should take place in early autumn in England. IBF, WBA, WBO and WBC championship titles will be at stake.
Initially, this meeting was scheduled for June 25, but due to health problems of the British, the date of the fight had to be postponed for several weeks. The exact date will be announced in the near future.
Shields returned to the boxing ring in February after over a year's hiatus with a unanimous points victory over Ema Kozin. The last time Marshall boxed was in April. At a boxing evening in Newcastle, a 30-year-old Briton knocked out Femke Hermans.
