Manny Pacquiao's return to the ring after four years ended in a draw against Mario Barrios. The fight took place earlier this month at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
The 46-year-old Filipino legend and eight-division world champion battled the reigning WBC welterweight champion Barrios for 12 rounds. Two judges scored the fight 114-114, while the third gave Barrios a slight edge with a 115-113 scorecard.
Many fans and analysts felt Pacquiao had done enough to win. If he had, he would've become the oldest welterweight champion in boxing history.
Shane Mosley, a former opponent of Pacquiao and a three-weight world champion himself, shared his thoughts on the fight. In an interview with Fight Hub TV, Mosley said:
"I thought the fight was pretty close and you know, I thought that was a close fight but maybe Manny did edge it."
Mosley, who lost to Pacquiao by unanimous decision in 2011, praised the Filipino's abilities:
"Manny is a great fighter and has a great mind."
Despite the draw, Pacquiao has confirmed he'll continue his boxing career. It's not clear if there will be a rematch with Barrios. There's also talk of a potential fight with Rolando 'Rolly' Romero, the WBA regular welterweight champion who's shown interest in facing Pacquiao.
The fight marked Pacquiao's first appearance in the ring since 2019, showcasing his enduring skills and competitiveness even at 46 years old.
