Russian heavyweight Alexander Ustinov from Minsk, Belarus, says that he was ready for the championship fight for a long time. On Tuesday, the promoter of Ustinov, 40, Vladimir Khryunov, told that Alexander will fight for the regular WBA title with German Manuel Charr on November 25 in Oberhausen, Germany.
"I am glad that I will lead to the title fight. You know, I have such an understanding that I have been ready for the championship battle long ago and I have matured for a long time. It was a shame when I was in the promotional company of the Klitschko brothers and fought with (David) Tua, and Vitali Klitschko stated that if Tua wins Ustinov, then he will fight Wladimir Klitschko. And I asked, if thre’s such a status of this fight, then if Ustinov wins?" Ustinov said.
"But they did not answer this question, and nothing more has happened, and now the moral aspect comes to the forefront, so much energy boils... The main thing is not to burn out," he continued, "I do not personally know Charr, but if you look at his record - Vitali Klitschko, Alexander Povetkin - everything is obvious. It's impossible to underestimate him, but I'm completely confident in myself. The preparation for the fight will be held in Minsk."
