Kiev will host the next annual WBC Congress

Kiev the capital of Ukraine will host the annual 56th Congress of the World Boxing Council in 2018. The president of the National League of Professional Boxing of Ukraine Mikhail Zavyalov informed.

These days the annual 55th WBC Congress of 2017 is held in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan. Many famous sportsmen take part in it. Among them are the current and former owners of the organization's belts: Gennady Golovkin, Mairis Briedis, Sisasaket Sor Rungvisai, Amir Khan, Evander Holyfield, Kostya Tszyu, Yuri Arbachakov, Paul Malignaggi, Joe Calzaghe, Nikki Adler and others.

The Ukrainian delegation in Baku is represented by the Emeritus WBC champion Vitali Klitschko and former super lightweight belt holder Victor Postol. Alina Shaternikova and Mikhail Zavyalov also flew to Azerbaijan.

The possibility of holding the WBC Congress in Kiev was mentioned a year ago. Vitali Klitschko and President of the World Boxing Council Mauricio Suleiman discussed the possibility of holding the 55th Congress in the Ukrainian capital before. However, then the decision was made in favor of Baku.

At the current Congress WBC must decide Viktor Postol rival destiny also.
