Next fight of Michael Conlan is not determined yet.
An investigation is underway into possible tampering with the results of the Rio games five years ago. Suspicions have fallen on the outcome of eleven bouts. In the main event of the evening in Belfast, Michael Conlan (16-0, 8 KOs) defeated TJ Doheny (22-3, 16 KOs) via unanimous decision to win the WBA featherweight title. In the fifth round, Doheny hit the floor after receiving body punch. After twelve rounds, the judges scored it 119-108, 116-111, 116-111.
The undefeated Michael Conlan (15-0, 8 KOs) won a tough majority decision win over Ionut Baluta (14-3, 3 KOs) in a tough fight at the York Hall in London. For Conlan, it was his debut at the Super Bantamweight division. The scores were 114-114 and 115-114, 117-112 in favor of Conlan.
On December 5, Michael Conlan (14-0, 8 KOs) will face former World Super Bantamweight Champion Isaac Dogboe (21-2, 15 KOs) in London. For the 28-year-old Irishman, this will be his second performance this year and so far the hardest test of his professional career.
