December 2 former interim world featherweight champion Michael Conlan (18-2, 9 KOs) will hold his next professional fight at a boxing evening in Belfast. The 31-year-old fighter's opponent will be the former European champion Jordan Gill (27-2-1, 8 KOs).
Both boxers will enter this fight after defeats. In May, Conlan lost early to Luis Alberto Lopez in the fight for the IBF belt, and Gill lost to Kiko Martinez last October.
For Conlan, this will be the first professional fight that will not take place as part of an evening organized by the promotional organization Top Rank. The Irishman recently announced that his association with Bob Arum's stable has ended.
