May 27 in Belfast will be a fight between Michael Conlan (18-1, 9 KOs) and IBF featherweight world champion Luis Alberto Lopez (27-2, 15 KOs). This meeting has been officially confirmed.
Previously, the organization of this fight was planned for mid-March, then for the first half of May, but as a result, the fight will take place a few weeks later. Conlan previously held an interim WBA title.
Lopez has been the champion of the International Boxing Federation since December. The Mexican won the trophy by defeating Josh Warrington via unanimous decision.
