UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev has spoken out about his friend Khabib Nurmagomedov missing the Champions League final because of his fight with Dustin Puryear.
"Well, maybe I'll watch, because all the boys here like soccer, they'll definitely watch. And I like soccer too, especially big matches like this. Khabib once said at the training camp: "Because of your fight I won't get to the Champions League". He was planning to go there, to the final. And I said to him: "The Champions League happens every year, but the fight between Makhachev and Porier - once in a lifetime".
Recall, the fight Makhachev Porye will take place on the night of June 2 in Newark and will headline UFC 302.
