Former UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman commented on talk that he will be Shavkat Rakhmonov's next opponent in a fight for the interim belt at December's UFC 310 event.
"I know the UFC will offer to go out on short notice against Rakhmonov to someone who is really cool and crazy, who is really worthy of this chance to fight for the interim belt. I'm sure the management knows who to contact and if they call me, I'll immediately respond and agree to that fight, but we'll start this thing by resolving a few issues. If we can settle them, the fight will happen," Usman said on the Pound4Pound podcast.
Usman has not appeared in the octagon since last October, when he lost on points to Hamzat Chimaev.
