Holloway wants to become a three-time UFC champion

Max Holloway, former UFC featherweight champion and current BMF belt holder, has stated that he wants to become a three-time champion of the organization.

"In a perfect world, it would be like this: I would fight Elijah Topuria, win the featherweight title, and then whoever the next lightweight champion is, I would fight him. I want to try to achieve the status of a two-time champion or even a three-time champion. Put the BMF title on the line in a fight for the bantamweight belt and become champion. And then move up to lightweight and do the same thing. That would be crazy," Give me Sport quoted Max as saying.

Mousasi is unhappy with the PFL management
Alexandr Ormanji
April 27, 2024, 8:23 a.m.

Gegard Mousasi, the former Bellator middleweight champion, is unhappy with the PFL management, which has yet to offer him a fight after the promotions merger.

"In Bellator you get paid well, but you don't fight often enough. In the UFC you fight a lot, but they don't pay you enough. In the PFL, I don't fight at all. So every promotion has its own nuances. I even offered to let me fight in the welterweight division. The answer was silence. The UFC did the same thing with Orlovski when they didn't give him a fight for a year. I don't know. Apparently, it's politics," MMA News quotes Mousasi.

Recall, his last fight Mousasi held in May last year, losing to Fabian Edwards at the tournament in Paris.

Holloway wants to fight Topuria in Las Vegas.
Alexandr Ormanji
April 27, 2024, 7:57 a.m.

Max Holloway, former UFC featherweight champion, has stated his desire to fight the promotion's current featherweight champion Elijah Topuria in Las Vegas.

"Hopefully the fight with Topuria will be in Vegas. How about the 66,000-seat Elligent Stadium? Now that would be something. Did you see how many Hawaiian flags there were at UFC 300? Vegas is our ninth island. Since we can't have a UFC tournament in Hawaii, let's fight in a soccer stadium in Vegas. Let's make it crazy," Holloway stated on Joe Rogan's podcast.

Recall, earlier Holloway reported that he was knocked out during his fight with Justin Gaethje.

Holloway got knocked down in his fight with Gaethje

April 27, 2024, 6:45 a.m.

Max Holloway, former UFC featherweight champion, admitted to being knocked out in his fight against Justin Gaethje.

"That moment didn't count as a knockdown, that's crazy. ESPN thinks no one has dropped me so far. That's bullshit - Gaethje deserved that accomplishment. I wouldn't be me if I didn't admit that Gatji sat me on my ass. I remember being on the floor and thinking, "What did he hit me with? Fucking hell of a punch." I managed to get up, but my legs gave out at the moment of impact. So now I don't even know what counts as a knockdown," said Holloway in the podcast Joe Rogan.

Recall, Holloway beat Gaethje by knockout at the last second of the last round.

Holloway responded to all the critics
Alexandr Ormanji
April 26, 2024, 6:32 p.m.

Max Holloway, former UFC featherweight champion, has responded to all those who think he's on the decline right now.

"The problem is these guys have seen me grow up. Coming into the UFC, I was 20 years old, and a lot of people think I'm about 42 years old like Daniel Cormier. But I'm actually a young guy. Especially after the trilogy with Wolf. The first two fights went okay, and the third fight made everybody say, "Oh, he's done." Brother, that was Wolf's night. He was on a roll. It is what it is, and now they're doing MMA math because Elijah was able to knock out Wolf. Even Elijah is doing MMA math, "I beat the guy that beat you." Bro, that's not how it works. I lost to Dustin Puryear and Justin Gaethje sent him to knockout. Can I say now that I beat Dustin? No. Styles make fights," Middle Easy quoted Holloway as saying.

"Arman, once again you opened your mouth in vain. Besides lying, you're also disappointing the fans. I can't wait to meet you in the octagon to strangle you," St. Denis wrote on his social media.

As previously reported, the Tsarukyan-Saint-Denis bout was supposed to be the main event of the ADXC 4 tournament on May 18, which will take place in Paris.

"He has a limited arsenal." Smith spoke out about Pereira
Alexandr Ormanji
April 26, 2024, 4:23 p.m.

Anthony Smith, former UFC bantamweight title challenger, is surprised by Alex Pereira's success in the bantamweight division.

"I'm not retracting what I said. How does this guy keep winning? It's a no-brainer! He has a very limited arsenal. He's very dangerous in one aspect and very average in everything else. I'm not trying to belittle him. On the contrary - I'm amazed at what he's been able to accomplish. It's impressive. Plus, Pereira has improved his grappling. He defended against Blachowicz. But if Magomed Ankalaev had been in the same position, the fight would have been over in the first round. Ankalaev wouldn't have let him out. I can name more welterweights who would have finished Pereira. And Blachowicz didn't take his chance," MMA Fighting quoted Smith as saying.
