Former UFC middleweight champion Shawn Strickland said he has no desire to rematch current belt holder Dricus Du Plessis at UFC 312, which takes place Feb. 9 in Sydney, Australia.
"I'm not fighting in Australia. We were thinking about fighting in March in Las Vegas. I love Australians, but I don't think your government loves me, which I take as a compliment," Strickland wrote in X.
Recall that the first meeting between Strickland and Du Plessis took place in January this year and ended with the victory of the current holder of the belt by a split decision of judges.
