After a confident victory over Teofimo Lopez by unanimous decision (119–109 three times) in January, which earned Stevenson the WBO title in the junior welterweight category and made him the third youngest four-division champion in history, he decided to voice his preferences.

Shakur included the following masters in his top five: Terence Crawford, Floyd Mayweather, Pernell Whitaker, Andre Ward, and Sugar Ray Leonard.

“For me, these are the five best boxers in history. They had it all: perfect technique, incredible ring intelligence, and a true winning mentality,” Shakur stated.

Notably, legends like Muhammad Ali, Sugar Ray Robinson, and Mike Tyson are absent from the list. Stevenson clearly prefers fighters with a defensive style, masters of counterattack, and distance control.
