Roy Jones Jr Makes Bold Prediction for Pacquiao-Barrios Bout: "Experience Matters"

Pacquiao hasn't fought since June 2021 when he lost a 12-round decision to Yordenis Ugas. After that fight, he announced his retirement and focused on his political career in the Philippines. Before retiring, Pacquiao set a record as the oldest world welterweight champion when he beat Keith Thurman for the WBA title in 2019 at age 40.

Roy Jones Jr believes Pacquiao still has what it takes to win. The boxing legend told ESNEWS:

"It says a lot about him. It says a lot about him and who he is. I think he wins."

If Pacquiao wins, he'll break his own record as the oldest world welterweight champion. That's a big task against the 30-year-old Barrios.

Mario "El Azteca" Barrios hails from San Antonio and currently holds the WBC welterweight title at 147lbs. He got the belt when Terence Crawford vacated it. Barrios defended his title for the first time last November, fighting to a split decision draw against Abel Ramos.

The fight will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. It's sure to be an exciting night as the boxing world watches to see if Pacquiao can turn back the clock one more time.

Fans can find more information about the event on the Premier Boxing Champions website.
