Mayweather wrapped up his pro career in 2017 with a perfect 50-0 record. He picked up world titles in five weight classes and beat big names like Canelo Alvarez, Oscar De La Hoya, and Manny Pacquiao along the way. His last fight was a win over UFC star Conor McGregor, which pushed his record to that magical 50-0 mark.
But Castillo doesn't buy it. In a recent chat with ESNEWS, he didn't hold back:
"Everybody knows I beat Floyd Mayweather, unfortunately it wasn't my night and the judges didn't see the fight, I think the judges were watching the ring girls but oh well."
Castillo's talking about their first fight in April 2002. Mayweather got the win on the scorecards, but a lot of people watching thought Castillo deserved it.
They ran it back eight months later. That time, Mayweather left no doubt. He put on a much better show, kept his WBC lightweight belt, and shut down any talk of Castillo having his number.
Mayweather called it quits a few months after beating McGregor, leaving the sport with that perfect 50-0 record. But if you ask Castillo, that zero in the loss column shouldn't be there.
