Canelo revealed he personally called Ronaldo to invite him to the event. The Al Nassr player agreed to attend, adding star power to an already notable occasion.

In an interview with Carlos 'Zar' Aguilar for TUDN, Canelo shared more details about his friendship with Ronaldo. He plans to visit the Portuguese footballer during training while in Saudi Arabia. Canelo also mentioned that Ronaldo's son is a big fan of his.

This isn't the first time Canelo has talked about his relationship with Ronaldo. Last year, he told reporters he had the footballer's phone number. The boxer from Guadalajara, Jalisco, seems to have a knack for making high-profile connections. In a separate TV Azteca interview, he mentioned having contact with popular musician Peso Pluma as well.

During the TUDN interview, Canelo offered some advice to young people about success and staying passionate about their work. He said:

"I think what happens to a lot of people who deviate from their goal is that they start to see the lifestyle. Personally, I never imagined having the lifestyle I have. I always, to this day, enjoy boxing a lot. I love boxing, I still have fun, because economically I don't need anything. I could retire and that's it, but I still enjoy what I do. I still love this sport as much as when I started."

Canelo's words show his continued enthusiasm for boxing despite his financial success. He could retire comfortably but chooses to keep fighting because of his love for the sport.

The upcoming fight in Saudi Arabia promises to be a star-studded affair. With Ronaldo in attendance and Canelo in the ring, fans will see two of the world's most famous athletes come together. As the saying goes, "God makes them, and they get together."
