Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder might face each other in the ring soon. Both fighters are nearing the end of their careers and have lost some big fights recently.

Joshua, a former two-time champion, lost back-to-back contests against Oleksandr Usyk. He then won fights against Otto Wallin and Francis Ngannou as part of his comeback. But in September, he lost to Daniel Dubois, who now holds the IBF title. Joshua's next move is up in the air after Tyson Fury's retirement.

Wilder, also a former champion, lost two big fights to Tyson Fury in their three-fight series. He then had an easy win over Robert Helenius. But things went downhill from there. He lost on points to Joseph Parker in a fight where he barely threw any punches. In June 2024, Zhilei Zhang stopped him in just five rounds.

These two fighters used to be champions at the same time, but with different organizations. They never got to fight each other then, and now they're both without titles.

Roy Jones Jr, a boxing legend, thinks Joshua has a better shot at winning if they fight now. He told iFL TV:

"I think Joshua has a better chance of winning that fight. I don't think Joshua is as damaged as Wilder. Wilder showed with Parker he really didn't want it any more. I don't know, we'll have to see what Wilder shows up."

This fight could be the last big chance for both Joshua and Wilder. It's a match-up fans have wanted to see for years, and it might finally happen now that both fighters need a big win to stay relevant in the heavyweight division.
