Legendary Promoter Reveals Comeback Plan for Mysterious Heavyweight: "He'll Shock Everyone"

Arum has been in the boxing business since the 1960s. He's worked with some of the biggest names in the sport, like Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson, and Tyson Fury. Since 2019, he's been guiding Fury's career, including his big wins over Deontay Wilder and his fights with Oleksandr Usyk.

Anderson, known as 'Big Baby', has a record of 17 wins and no losses, with 15 of those wins coming by knockout. He's beaten some tough opponents like Charles Martin, Jerry Forrest, and Andrii Rudenko. But he hit a bump in the road recently. In August, Martin Bakole knocked him out in the fifth round in Los Angeles.

You can read more about that fight here.

Despite this setback, Anderson is still ranked pretty high by the WBO and IBF. He's not wasting any time getting back in the ring. His next fight is set for February 14 against Marios Kollias. It'll be on the undercard of the Denys Berinchyk vs. Keyshawn Davis fight at Madison Square Garden Theater in New York.

Arum is confident about Anderson's future. He said on the Top Rank website:

"I still believe Jared Anderson is one of the most formidable heavyweights in the world, and I expect him to return with a vengeance this year."

While Anderson is working on his comeback, there's other action in the heavyweight division. Martin Bakole, the fighter from Congo who beat Anderson, has sent a warning to Anthony Joshua. Bakole is getting ready for an IBF final eliminator fight against Efe Ajagba.

It looks like 2025 will be an exciting year for heavyweight boxing fans. We'll have to wait and see if Anderson can bounce back as strongly as Arum predicts.
