Terence Crawford wants to move up two weight divisions to fight Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez. Former three-weight world champion James Toney thinks Crawford will win easily.

Crawford just made his debut at super-welterweight and remains undefeated at 154 lbs. Now, he's got his sights set on gaining 14 pounds to challenge Canelo at super-middleweight. It's a big jump for the four-division world champion who's coming back from some injuries.

Canelo rules the super-middleweight division right now. He's also a four-division world champion, but he's running out of exciting fights at his current weight. He'll start looking for opponents in January for a May comeback.

Many people think the size difference is too much for Crawford, even though he's super skilled. But James Toney doesn't agree. He told AB Boxing News:

"Terence Crawford is an incredible fighter. It's gonna be hard to beat him, anybody at 154."

Toney, who won world titles at middleweight, super-middleweight, and cruiserweight, and even fought at heavyweight, thinks Crawford will beat Canelo easily.

"Easy win. Trust me,"
he said.

Toney added that Canelo's a good fighter, but not on his level.

The fight between Crawford and Canelo once seemed unlikely. But with David Benavidez moving up to light-heavyweight, Canelo's running out of options at super-middleweight. Crawford's coming back from injuries, so their schedules might line up for a huge fight.

Can Crawford jump up two divisions and beat Canelo? We'll have to wait and see if this megafight happens.
