Mike Tyson lost to Jake Paul in a boxing match that left many fans feeling disappointed. The fight, which took place last weekend in Arlington, Texas, ended with Paul winning by unanimous decision after eight rounds.
Tyson, now 58 years old, struggled in the ring. He stumbled around and took a lot of hits to the head. The former champion, once known as "The Baddest Man on the Planet," couldn't show the power and skill that made him famous in his younger days.
Paul, who's 31 years younger than Tyson, didn't have to work too hard for the win. He mostly coasted through the fight, proving that even a boxing legend can't beat getting older.
Frank Bruno, another former world champion who Tyson knocked out in 1989, wasn't impressed with what he saw. Bruno said:
"It was challenging to watch. It was not great, was it? The noble sport lost a bit of its nobility."
Even though the fight wasn't great to watch, it got a lot of viewers. Netflix streamed the event, which might bring new fans to boxing.
After the fight, Tyson said he won't box again. He had a great career, beating fighters like Michael Spinks, Larry Holmes, and Razor Ruddock.
Paul now has 11 wins and 1 loss on his record. The YouTuber-turned-boxer says he wants to fight Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez next. But Alvarez, the current super-middleweight world champion, doesn't seem interested.
The whole event left many people feeling unhappy about what they saw. But Bruno added that if Tyson made good money from the fight, then "good luck to him."
