"Last weekend Tim Tszyu suffered a third round defeat to a relatively unknown opponent. I have a lot of respect for Tim, I love the guy. But this is another example of terrible opponent selection on the part of PBC," De La Hoya said.
"Let's go back in time a little bit. Almost 10 years ago, I had a few traitors in my company. My Golden Boy Promotions has raised some of the best PBC fighters like Errol Spence, Deontay Wilder, the Charlo brothers, Danny Garcia, Ebner Mares, Leo Santa Cruz, and the list goes on. These disloyal bastards at my company waited until my boxers were out of contract and then moved them to a new organization called PBC. After spending hundreds of millions of dollars, PBC tried to take over the boxing business but failed utterly."
"All of these boys who were taken from us were on their way to careers worthy of the Hall of Fame under our tutelage. Now they perform every three years, the PBC has destroyed them, it's a sinking ship. Karma may take time, but it always comes back," summarized the former champion in six weight classes.
