Roy Jones Jr Names Surprising Winner in Fury-Usyk Rematch: "He's Got the Edge Now"

Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk are getting ready for their big rematch in December. The two heavyweights will face off again in Saudi Arabia, with three of the four major belts on the line.

Usyk beat Fury in their first fight back in May. It was a close battle that went the full 12 rounds. The Ukrainian caught Fury with a big shot in the ninth round, causing the referee to give Fury a count. In the end, Usyk won by a narrow decision on the scorecards.

Now, as both fighters are in camp and preparing, boxing legend Roy Jones Jr. thinks Usyk will come out on top again. In an interview with Betway, Jones explained his reasoning:

"Usyk found out he could hurt Tyson in the first fight. The smaller man now knows he can hurt the bigger man. Usyk is favorite for the rematch."

Jones did point out that Fury is very smart and good at making adjustments. He also mentioned that Usyk might underestimate Fury this time around. But overall, Jones still sees Usyk as the favorite.

It's worth noting that Fury has been knocked down seven times in his career. That fact might play into Usyk's confidence going into this rematch.

The stakes are high for both fighters. Originally, all four heavyweight belts were supposed to be on the line. But Usyk gave up the IBF title to make sure this rematch could happen.

Fury isn't taking this lightly. He's promised to be in "destroy mode" for the rematch. The British heavyweight wants to prove that the first fight was just a fluke.

With both fighters now deep in their training camps, fans can expect an intense battle when they step into the ring in Saudi Arabia this December.
