Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez has lost only twice in his 20-year boxing career. The Mexican superstar's record stands at 62 wins, 2 losses, and 2 draws, with 39 of those victories coming by knockout.

Canelo's first defeat came in 2013 against Floyd Mayweather Jr. The young Mexican fighter lost by unanimous decision to the boxing legend. This loss came early in Canelo's career and didn't stop his rise to the top of the sport.

Nine years passed before Canelo tasted defeat again. In 2022, he moved up to light heavyweight to challenge Dmitry Bivol. The Russian boxer handed Canelo his second loss, also by unanimous decision. It was Canelo's first defeat at light heavyweight.

Despite these setbacks, Canelo has never sought a rematch with either Mayweather or Bivol. He's won world titles in five weight classes and has been ranked among the top 10 pound-for-pound boxers since 2015. Many still consider him the best boxer in the world.

Canelo's next fight is set for May 3, 2025, in Saudi Arabia. He'll defend his super middleweight championships against William Scull.

The Mexican fighter's career shows that even the best can lose. But it's how a boxer bounces back from defeat that truly defines their legacy. Canelo has proven his ability to do just that, cementing his place as one of boxing's greatest champions.
